Tracing The Rupture

Blue is the colour most sensitive to our eyes.

The earth, itself two-thirds water, is much like our human bodies, equally almost two-thirds water.

The transformational qualities of water and light playing together, reveal to human eyes varying types of refraction and dispersion.

Our bloodlines and cultural hybridity are also in this constant state of flux and growth.

Unravelling these threads of woven histories, the artist borrows from the animist tradition of her ancestry, tracing the fossils of past peoples and significant animal deities in hybrid form and imagery.
